by Staff Writer / Philadelphia Flyers
The polls are now open and Flyers fans can once again start helping Claude Giroux get on the next EA Sports NHL 13 Cover.

Voting for the semifinal round began today and Giroux is facing off against the Flyers' in-state rival, Pittsburgh Penguins forward Evgeni Malkin.

Fans can keep voting through Monday, May 28 when the polls officially close. According to the NHL, nearly 20 million votes have been cast by fans during the voting process and the winner will be unveiled live at the 2012 NHL Awards Show in Las Vegas on June 20.

Giroux is the No. 1 seed in the tournament and reached the semifinals by beating LA Kings forward Anze Kopitar in Round 2 after defeating Montreal defenseman P.K. Subban in Round 1.

Malkin advanced to the Semifinal round by defeating Lightning forward Steven Stamkos in Round 1, but then took down Giroux's linemate in Round 2, Flyers forward Scott Hartnell.

On the other side of the bracket, New York Islanders forward John Tavares and Nashville Predators goaltender Pekka Rinne will fight it out to advance to the championship matchup.
