Prior to the Flyers practice on Friday morning, Flyers Executive Vice President and General Manager Chuck Fletcher gave an injury update regarding four Flyers.
BRIAN ELLIOTT (G) (lower-body injury)
"Brian is progressing nicely and continuing his rehab. He's back on the ice, but there is really no timetable set for his return."
Elliott last appeared in the Flyers-Devils game on Nov. 15 and has missed 29 games due to injury this season. He has a 6-7-0 record with a 2.59 goals-against average and .911 save percentage in 14 appearances.
CORBAN KNIGHT (F) (upper-body injury)
"He will see the doctor today (Jan. 18) for his next follow up. He is progressing very well and hopefully we get the green light for Corban to advance on and off the ice."
Knight was injured in the Flyers-Islanders game on Oct. 27 and was placed on injured reserve on Oct. 28. He has appeared in three games for the Flyers this season, going scoreless and averaging 7:16 of ice time per-game.
SAMUEL MORIN (D) (knee, ACL surgery)
"Sam saw the doctor during the last game vs. Boston (Jan. 16) and he's been cleared to go full tilt now. The game plan for Sam is to get his body ready to go back and play NHL hockey. We're looking at another month before he's ready to do that."
Morin has missed the entire 2018-19 season following surgery to repair a torn ACL suffered in Game 4 of the Lehigh Valley Phantoms' second-round playoff series with the Charlotte Checkers on May 9, 2018.
MICHAL NEUVIRTH (G) (lower-body injury)
"Michal is doing well. He was evaluated by one of our doctors yesterday (Jan. 17). His timetable has not been set. He's doing very well through his rehab and we're hoping to get him back on the ice late next week."
Neuvirth is 1-4-1 with a 4.27 GAA and .859 save percentage this season. He last appeared in the Flyers-Hurricanes game on Jan. 3 and has missed the last seven games due to injury and a total of 28 games this season
