Hurricane Sandy Relief Drive

by Staff Writer / Philadelphia Flyers

In an effort to assist the Greater Philadelphia Region in Hurricane Sandy relief efforts, Comcast-Spectacor, the Philadelphia-based sports and entertainment firm, is conducting a City-wide collection of much-needed supplies to aid those in need at XFINITY Live! Philadelphia on Wednesday, November 7 beginning at 6 a.m.

“We have all seen the devastation that many people right here in our own backyard have sustained,” said Comcast-Spectacor President Peter Luukko. “As a community, it is important for all of us to help make a difference and support those who may be in need. Many of our fans have asked how they can help. This is an opportunity for the community to deliver their supplies to XFINITY Live! for the Salvation Army to take right to those in dire need.”

The Salvation Army and Philabundance, who will be on-site, will immediately distribute these products into the community. According to the Salvation Army, the most needed supplies are bottles of water, coats, blankets, wrapped snacks and canned food. Those who donate supplies on Wednesday will receive a 20% discount on any item they purchase in the venue as well as a VIP Card to XFINITY Live!
