Holmgren Updates Knuble Injury

by Staff Writer / Philadelphia Flyers
(February 17) - Flyers General Manager Paul Holmgren on Saturday gave the following update on forward Mike Knuble, who was injured during the team's 5-3 victory over the New York Rangers at Madison Square Garden earlier in the day.

Mike fractured both his right cheek bone and right orbital bone. He is going to need surgery for both of those fractures. We're going to have the surgery delayed a few days until the swelling goes down. He will be re-evaluated again [Sunday] to see where that's at. As soon as the swelling goes down enough he will have the surgery.

"Mike will be out indefinitely."
