Handzus Likely for This Weekend
by Staff Writer / Philadelphia FlyersFlyers center Michal Handzus, who has been out with a shoulder injury since Feb. 27, will miss the Flyers'' game on Wednesday night in Florida but is probable to return this weekend, according to Flyers Athletic Trainer and Strength and Conditioning Coach, Jim McCrossin.
Below is an update from McCrossin.
"We did a test, our second one, and we found out that he's still a little bit over 20 percent deficit. The norm is you want to be about 15 percent or less. What we're looking to do is we're going to hold him out from [Wednesday] night's game and we'll get him back by the weekend.
"I think that for sure he'll play against Atlanta [Saturday] and there's a chance for Tampa [Friday].
"Today was the first day that he was actually in full contact. They didn't have much contact, but he was battling down low and he said he felt pretty darn good."
