Gretzky Visits with Kids from ESYHF

by Staff Writer / Philadelphia Flyers

Wayne Gretzky, the most prolific scorer in National Hockey League history, a four-time Stanley Cup Champion and holder of countless league records, met young participants of the Ed Snider Youth Hockey Foundation after his team, the Phoenix Coyotes, concluded their morning skate on Tuesday. Gretzky, now head coach of the Coyotes, has a long-standing relationship with Flyers Chairman Ed Snider.

Snider created the Ed Snider Youth Hockey Foundation as a personal commitment to teach children important life lessons. The program, which utilizes ice hockey to bring inner city children together, stresses the importance of education, teamwork and character development. At this special open house, participants will have the opportunity to register for the Ed Snider Youth Hockey Foundation.
