The final votes have been counted and, in one of the closest votes in the tournament, the 'Ghost to Giroux' overtime winner has been crowned the champion of the 2015-16 Highlight of the Year Tournament.
Separated by less than 30 votes, the Ghost to Giroux overtime thriller edged out a great play by Nick Cousins to score his first NHL goal.
Cousins highlight won the Wild Card vote over three other highlights and earned a quarterfinal victory over Michael Neuvirth's diving save, and semifinal win over Jakub Voracek's one-man effort in overtime against the Capitals before eventually falling in the final round.
The winning highlight with Giroux and Gostisbehere tore through the bracket with wins over a four-point night by defenseman Radko Gudas in the quarterfinals and Gostisbehere's overtime winner vs. Toronto to extend his point streak to an NHL rookie record, 15 straight games in the semifinals before defeating Cousins.
The play now joins Simon Gagne (2012-13), Claude Giroux (2013-14) and Steve Mason (2014-15) as a Flyers Highlight of the Year Champion.
