Forsberg Updates Condition of His Right Ankle

by Staff Writer / Philadelphia Flyers
(Anaheim, CA, November 15) – Peter Forsberg joined the Flyers on Tuesday night and took part in the team's morning skate on Wednesday at the Honda Center in preparation for the game against the Anaheim Ducks. Forsberg met with local reporters after the skate regarding the condition of his right ankle.

Forsberg was in Cleveland, Ohio on Monday and Tuesday getting fitted for an orthotic brace for the ankle which has caused him to miss the last two games.

Q: How is your ankle?
Peter Forsberg: "The surgery is fine, so that's not the problem. The problem is, it rolls out, so we're trying to correct that. That's what we've been trying to do the last couple of days. So, we'll see tonight if it's good or not.

"It felt better today, but it's hard to say in a practice. I'd like to go out and skate in the game and see how it feels. It's definitely great that I got to know what is going on instead of guessing. If you are going to correct the problem you have to know what is wrong first and that's what we tried to find out; exactly what was going on and what we had to correct. We're definitely going the right way.

"I'm hopeful for the first time in a long time."
