Two-time Survivor contestant and Delaware County, PA native Stephenie LaGrossa teams up with the Philadelphia Flyers as new in-arena host for all 2006-07 season home games at Wachovia Center. LaGrossa joins NBC reporter Bret Hamilton and anthemist Lauren Hart to provide over 20,000 fans each game with off-ice entertainment, interviews and promotions during stoppages of play.
"Working as an in-arena host for the Flyers is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. I am looking forward to working with Bret and Lauren to provide quality entertainment for fans each and every game," said LaGrossa.
LaGrossa, 26, competed in Survivor: Palau, the tenth installment of the popular CBS reality series. An admirable competitor, she was the sole survivor of her tribe, the Ulong Tribe, before the two groups merged. Following her exile on Palau, LaGrossa was voted Most Popular Survivor Ever and was invited by CBS to compete on back-to-back seasons. She joined the cast of Survivor: Guatemala, ultimately finishing as the show's second place winner.
In addition to her Flyers in-arena hosting duties, LaGrossa serves as a spokesmodel for 2bBrazil Swimear Line and Easy Straight by Haime Munoz hair products. She has also appeared as a guest host for the TV Guide Channel, acted on the soap opera Guiding Light and been featured in People, US and In Touch magazines and on various television and radio shows.
Prior to her stints on Survivor, LaGrossa worked as a Pharmaceutical Sales Representative for Wyeth Pharmaceuticals. She is a 2002 graduate of Monmouth University, earning a B.S. in Business Administration.
