Flyers to Award over $100k in Prizes during Fan Appreciation Night

The Philadelphia Flyers will giveaway over $100,000 in prizes during "Fan Appreciation Night" at the Wells Fargo Center on Saturday, March 12, when they host the Atlanta Thrashers, beginning at 7 p.m.

"We have the best fans in the National Hockey League," said Comcast-Spectacor President Peter Luukko. "Our fans are the most passionate fans in the NHL. They truly make the Wells Fargo Center the toughest building for our opponents to play in. Fan Appreciation Night is our way of thanking our fans for their loyalty, dedication, and passion for the Philadelphia Flyers."

The Flyers will present all fans in attendance with a special souvenir “Thank You” poster upon entering the arena. The prizes that will be awarded throughout the night will range from big screen televisions, iPad's and other electronics. Also included are priceless, once-in-a-lifetime experiences such as the opportunity to be in the 2011-12 team photo, sit with Flyers broadcasters during a game and stand alongside Flyers Anthem Singer Lauren Hart while she sings the "Star Spangled Banner." In addition, players will give the shirts off their back to several lucky fans immediately following the game.

During the game, the Comcast-Spectacor Foundation will draw the winning ticket in their raffle to win a 2011 Toyota RAV4, courtesy of the Tri-State Toyota Dealers Association. The Foundation had been selling raffle tickets to benefit the Flyers Wives Fight For Lives Carnival since November. Second prize will be a sapphire LAGOS Flyers Fan Pendant on a new leather necklace. Fans can still purchase raffle tickets until March 11 at noon by visiting Raffle tickets may also be purchased prior to Saturday’s game at the Flyers Charities kiosk located behind section 114 at the Wells Fargo Center.

Additionally, all merchandise in Fan Gear will be discounted 20%. Discount excludes lettering and memorabilia.
