Club's third round draft pick from 2016 inks NHL deal

The Philadelphia Flyers announced today they have signed LW Carsen Twarynski, the club's Third Round Pick (82nd overall) in the 2016 NHL Entry Draft, to an entry-level contract, according to general manager Ron Hextall.

AGE: 20 (11-24-1997)
BORN: St. Albert, Alberta
VITALS: 6'2", 198 pounds
* Twarynski has recorded 43 goals and 27 assists for 70 points for his junior team, the Kelowna Rockets.
* His 43 goals leads the team and are T-9th overall in the WHL, while his 17 power-play goals are T-3rd overall in the WHL.
* His 70 points are a new career high by 25 points, while his 43 goals are more than double his previous career high (20).
* Currently on a six-game point streak (5g-2a) as Kelowna ranks third in the WHL's Western Conference standings with a 40-22-5-2 record for 87 points.
* Helped lead the Kelowna Rockets to the WHL Conference Finals last season, recording five points (3g-2a) in 16 games.
* Has attended Flyers Development Camp in each of the last two summers and has appeared in one game for the Flyers in each of the last two preseasons.
