The Philadelphia Flyers announced today they have signed forward Hayden Hodgson to a two-year, two-way/one-way contract with an average annual value (AAV) of $800,000, according to President of Hockey Operations & General Manager, Chuck Fletcher.

Hodgson, 26 (3/2/1996), split last season between the Flyers and their American Hockey League affiliate, the Lehigh Valley Phantoms. He recorded three points (1g-2a) in six games for the Flyers in 2021-22 after he signed a contract on Mar. 22. He made his NHL debut on Mar. 24 at St. Louis where he also recorded his first NHL goal and added an assist for a two-point night.
He spent a majority of the 2021-22 campaign with the Phantoms where he posted 31 points (19g-12a) in 46 games. He ranked second on the team in goals (19), fourth in points (31) and led the team with a plus-minus rating of +6.
Prior to joining the Flyers organization, he spent one additional season in the AHL, the 2017-18 campaign, with the Cleveland Monsters where he posted six points (3g-3a) in 41 games.
The 6-2, 207-pound forward has spent a majority of his career in the ECHL where he recorded a total of 44 points (22g-22a) in 98 games, most recently with the Utah Grizzlies and Wheeling Nailers (2020-21), as well as the Reading Royals (2019-20), Wichita Thunder (2018-19), Florida Everblades and Manchester Monarchs (2017-18).
A native of Windsor, Ontario, Hodgson spent parts of five seasons in the Ontario Hockey League with the Erie Otters (2012-13 to 2013-14), Sarnia Sting (2013-14 to 2015-16) and Saginaw Spirit (2015-16 to 2016-17) where he posted 87 goals and 70 assists for 157 points in 294 games.
