Gendron, 19 (12/30/03), split the 2022-23 season between Blainville-Boisbriand and Gatineau of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL) and recorded 81 points (55-26=81), 21 power-play goals (PPG), nine game-winning goals (GWG) and 44 penalty minutes (PIM) in 63 combined games.

The 5-foot-10, 180-pound native of Salaberry-de-Valleyfield, Quebec, led the QMJHL in PPG, ranked second in goals and shots (312), T-5th in GWG and 14th in points. The left-shot forward set career highs in goals, assists, points, PPG, GWG and shots. He registered five three-plus goal games including a career-high five goals, Feb. 18 vs. Cape Breton, to tie Gatineau's single-game franchise record. He posted two career-high 10-game point streaks from Jan. 12-Feb. 18 (9-9=18) and from Feb. 24-March 19 (14-5=19). The winger totaled 19 points (14-5=19) in 13 QMJHL playoff contests with Gatineau, including two hat tricks and five multi-point matches. Gendron led QMJHL in playoff PPG (6), ranked T-1st in goals and T-3rd in GWG (3). He tallied 16 points (12-4=16) in a nine-game playoff point streak (March 31-April 19), including a four-game goal streak (8g), March 31-April 5.

Gendron owns 141 points (94-47=141), 26 PPG, 16 GWG and 124 PIM in 160 QMJHL regular season games in three seasons with Blainville-Boisbriand and Gatineau (2020-23). He has 27 points (19-8=27), nine PPG and three GWG in 28 career playoff contests.

Gendron was selected by the Flyers in the seventh round (220th overall) of the 2022 NHL Draft.
