Flyers Seeking Key Element to Game Presentation

by Staff Writer / Philadelphia Flyers
The Philadelphia Flyers are seeking a "key" element to enhancing their fan experience for all preseason, regular season and playoff home games at Wachovia Center for the 2006-07 season. On Thursday, August 24 from 5pm to 9pm, the team is auditioning new keyboard players to operate the organ during pregame, stoppages of play and intermissions. The ideal candidate is a contemporary musician who can perform chants, crowd prompts, standard in-arena cheers and is available to play at all Flyers home preseason, regular season and playoff games of the 2006-07 season.

"We strive to provide the ultimate in-game experience for fans at all Flyers games," said Flyers Vice President of Marketing and Communications Shawn Tilger. "Our organist is essential in hyping up our fans and creating an electrifying atmosphere in the arena for each and every game."

Those interested in auditioning should send a resume and CD of song samples to Artie Halstead at the Wachovia Center, 3601 South Broad Street, Philadelphia, PA 19148 or email a resume and song samples to ahalstead@comcast-spectacor.com. Applicants will be contacted for the formal tryout.
