Flyers Reduce Training Camp Roster

Lyon also loaned to Phantoms, roster at 29 players

The Philadelphia Flyers announced today that they have reduced their training camp roster by six players, according to general manager Ron Hextall.

The following six players have been loaned to the club's AHL affiliate, the Lehigh Valley Phantoms, for Training Camp:

(D) Mark Alt
(D) TJ Brennan
(D) Will O'Neill
(F) Greg Carey
(F) Corban Knight
(F) Phil Varone

In addition to this afternoon's announcement, the Flyers have also loaned goaltender Alex Lyon to their AHL affiliate, the Lehigh Valley Phantoms, today.

Lyon appeared in three preseason games for the Flyers, posting a 1.98 goals-against average and .900 save percentage in 121 minutes of action. He also appeared in the Flyers rookie game vs. NY Islanders on Sept. 13, where he started in net and allowed just one goal.

The Flyers training camp roster now stands at 29 players.
