The Philadelphia Flyers have reduced their training camp roster by one pPrior to hitting the ice on Sunday for practice, Flyers President of Hockey Operations & General Manager, Chuck Fletcher, announced one roster cut and updated the status of two injured forwards.
The Flyers have reduced their training camp roster by one player by placing goaltender J-F Berube on waivers for the purpose of reporting to the club's AHL Affiliate, the Lehigh Valley Phantoms.
Berube appeared in two preseason games for the Flyers, most recently in Saturday's win over the Rangers where he stopped seven of eight shots in the third period.
The Flyers training camp roster is now at 34 players.
On the injury front, the Fletcher announced that forward Tyler Pitlick has been cleared to return to practice. He is not cleared for contact. Forward Kurtis Gabriel, who was injured in the preseason game vs. Islanders at Nassau Coliseum on Sept. 17, has been cleared to practice with the team.
