by Staff Writer / Philadelphia Flyers

Flyers general manager Paul Holmgren announced that the team has recalled forward Kris Newbury and loaned forward Tye McGinn to their AHL affiliate, the Adirondack Phantoms today.

This is Newbury's second recall to the Flyers this season after originally joining the Flyers on Oct. 3. He appeared in three games posting one assist.

Newbury has five points (2g-3a) and a +2 rating to go along with 28 penalty minutes in five games for the Phantoms this season.

McGinn was recalled by the Flyers on Nov. 2 due to the injuries sustained by Vincent Lecavalier and Steve Downie on Nov. 1. He appeared in two games, going scoreless.

Overall, McGinn has three goals and a +1 rating in six games for the Flyers this season.

Newbury will be available for the Flyers lineup on Thursday when they host the New Jersey Devils (7 p.m. on CSN & 97.5 The Fanatic).
