Flyers punch their ticket to the playoffs

For the 36th time in the franchise's 44 seasons of play the Flyers will be playing for Lord Stanley's Cup.


With their 4-1 win over the Montreal Canadiens, the Flyers punched their ticket and clinched a berth in the Stanley Cup playoffs, joining the NY Rangers and Pittsburgh Penguins in the Eastern Conference.

It is also the fifth consecutive year and the 16th time in the last 17 seasons that the Flyers will have made the playoffs.
