Flyers Rookies Face Off Against Capitals Rookies on Wednesday, September 12

The Philadelphia Flyers announced that their Rookie Camp at the Virtua Center Flyers Skate Zone in Voorhees, New Jersey, will run from Sunday, September 9 through Wednesday, September 12. Thirty players are scheduled to attend the camp. The camp will conclude with a game between the Flyers rookies and the Washington Capitals rookies in Voorhees on Wednesday, September 12 at 4:00 p.m.

(Please note, this game was originally scheduled for 12:30 p.m. but has since been changed to 4:00 p.m.).
 
The players will be on the ice on September 9-11 at 10:00 a.m., and will scrimmage on those days beginning at 11:00 a.m.

Among the players participating in this Rookie Camp are Flyers’ first-round draft picks, Steve Downie (2005) and Claude Giroux (2006).

The Flyers Rookies-Capitals Rookies game is open to the public and free of charge.

The Flyers open training camp at the Virtua Center Flyers Skate Zone in Voorhees, New Jersey on Friday, September 14.
