The National Hockey League's regular season schedule format emphasizes division rivalries. Each team will play eight games against each of its four division rivals. The Flyers compete in the Atlantic Division of the Eastern Conference, along with the New Jersey Devils, New York Islanders, New York Rangers and Pittsburgh Penguins, so the Flyers will play eight games against each of their four divisional opponents. In addition, the Flyers will play four games against each of the 10 non-division clubs in the Eastern Conference (the five teams in the Northeast Division - Boston Bruins, Buffalo Sabres, Montreal Canadiens, Ottawa Senators and Toronto Maple Leafs and the five teams in the Southeast Division - Atlanta Thrashers, Carolina Hurricanes, Florida Panthers, Tampa Bay Lightning and Washington Capitals). Each club will also play 10 inter-conference games, hosting one game against all five clubs from a designated division and traveling for one game each against all five clubs from a different division. For the Flyers, they will host each team in the Central Division for one game at the Wachovia Center (Chicago Blackhawks, Columbus Blue Jackets, Detroit Red Wings, Nashville Predators and St. Louis Blues) and will visit each team in the Pacific Division for one game (Anaheim Ducks, Dallas Stars, Los Angeles Kings, Phoenix Coyotes and San Jose Sharks).

A breakdown of Flyers' home games by days of the week is as follows: Saturday, 15; Thursday, 11; Tuesday, 5; Monday, 4; Wednesday, 4; Friday, 1; and Sunday, 1. The Flyers' 41-game home schedule will also feature eight regular season afternoon games (November 24 vs. Columbus, December 23 vs. Ottawa, January 13 vs. Pittsburgh, January 27 vs. NY Rangers, March 10 vs. Boston, March 24 vs. NY Islanders, April 7 vs. NY Islanders and April 8 vs. Buffalo).

The longest Flyers' road trip of the season lasts eight games, from December 27 through January 9. During the trip, they will play games against Florida, Tampa Bay, Carolina, NY Islanders, NY Rangers, Boston, Ottawa and Washington. The Flyers' longest homestand of the season is a five-game stretch from October 26 through November 4. During the November homestand, they will host Atlanta, Pittsburgh, Chicago, Tampa Bay and Washington.

The 2007 NHL All-Star Celebration will get underway on Tuesday, January 23, at the American Airlines Center in Dallas with the NHL SuperSkills Competition and the NHL YoungStars Game and will be followed by the 55th NHL All-Star Game on Wednesday, January 24. The 30th Annual Flyers' Wives Fight For Lives Carnival is scheduled for Sunday, February 25, 2007, at the Wachovia Center.

All night games at the Wachovia Center start at 7:00 p.m., except October 11, December 2, and March 28, which start at 7:30 p.m. Afternoon games start at 1:00 p.m., except January 13, which starts at 2:00 p.m.
