Flyers Mountain of Generosity Breaks Records

The Flyers and 92.5 XTU broke records yesterday collecting a phenomenal 10,000 toys for needy children in Philadelphia. Over 200 decorated trucks paraded into the Wachovia Center spreading holiday cheer as they delivered toys to be used in building the 7 feet tall and 25 feet wide Toy Mountain. Toys were also collected at Flyers home games leading up to the Toy Mountain event.

The parade originated at the 92.5 XTU station in Bala Cynwd and ended 45 minutes later at the Wachovia Center. Surrounded by a mountain of toys and bicycles, over 2,000 fans and community members filled the Wachovia Center. 92.5 XTU broadcasted live, there were special performances and appearances and community members enjoyed holiday festivities including face painting and pictures with Santa.

This is the second year that the Flyers have built the Toy Mountain with 92.5 XTU. The 2007 Toy Mountain collected 7,000 toys.
