Flyers Looking to Fill Spots on Delta Dental Ice Team

by Staff Writer / Philadelphia Flyers

For the first time in two years, the Philadelphia Flyers are looking for energetic and charismatic females over the age of 21 to "brush off" their skates and audition for 14 open spots on the Delta Dental Ice Team. Auditions, to be held on Wednesday, September 6 from 6pm to 8pm at the Virtua Health Flyers Skate Zone, are open to both skating and non-skating females.

During all Flyers preseason, regular season and playoff games of the 2006-07 season, the Delta Dental Ice Team will create an exciting game day atmosphere and assist in-arena hosts with in-game promotions and entertainment during stoppages of play.

"This year we are expanding the Delta Dental Ice Team to 14 members and are looking to enhance their role in-game," said Flyers Vice President of Marketing and Communications Shawn Tilger. "The ice team is a vital part of our game presentation and has always been well received by our fans."

Auditions will be held on Wednesday, September 6 from 6pm to 8pm at the Virtua Health Flyers Skate Zone (601 Laurel Oak Road, Voorhees, NJ 08043). Applicants will sit down for a formal interview and then showcase their dance and/or skating skills. Applicants must bring a resume, headshot or photograph, skates and dance/skating music to auditions.

Those interested in auditioning should send an email to flyersiceteam@comcast-spectacor.com to inform the team of their intent to audition. In the email, please include name, age and skating ability.
