With five days remaining until Training Camp, and Day 2 into the club's Rookie Camp, the Flyers announced that they have signed veteran defenseman Hal Gill to a Pro Try-Out and he will attend the team's training camp, set to begin on Sept. 12 at the Wells Fargo Center.
Gill appeared in 32 games with the Nashville Predators last season, where he went scoreless and averaged over 13 minutes of ice-time per game.

The 6-foot-7, 243 pound Gill has played over 1,100 games in the NHL (1,102) recording 184 points (36g-148a) and 960 penalty minutes in his 15-year NHL career.
Gill is also a veteran of 110 Stanley Cup Playoff games, including winning a championship in 2009 with the Pittsburgh Penguins.
