Flyers Gaining Respect Among Media Outlets

by Staff Writer / Philadelphia Flyers
With four wins in their first five games, the Philadelphia Flyers have been gaining respect among national and international media outlets.

Philadelphia made a leap up the TSN NHL Power rankings, from 30th to 20th last week, to a current ranking of 5th this week.

Similarly, Sports Illustrated has them currently ranked at 13th from 30th when the season started.

ESPN lists the Flyers at 14th, up six spots from 22nd last week.

According to TSN:

”[It’s] safe to say that the additions from Buffalo have paid off, as Danny Briere has seven points in four games and Martin Biron has a 2.26 goals against average and .922 save percentage. The Flyers are looking mighty potent early.”
