by Staff Writer / Philadelphia Flyers

In ongoing efforts to foster the development of youth hockey in the Greater Philadelphia Region, the Philadelphia Flyers have partnered with USA Hockey to present a coaching symposium at the Wells Fargo Center on Wednesday, September 21 at 6 p.m. The symposium, presented by Rothman Institute at Jefferson, will feature some the brightest minds in hockey teaching advanced coaching techniques to Philadelphia-area coaches of all ages and levels.

Symposium special guests include Philadelphia Flyers Assistant Coaches Ian Laperriere and Joe Mullen, as well as Penn State Men’s Head Coach, Guy Gadowsky. Along with several USA Hockey representatives, this esteemed panel will lead interactive, on-ice sessions as well as classroom discussions.

Pre-registration for the symposium is required at PhiladelphiaFlyers.com/Coaching. Admission is $65 for coaches seeking their USA Hockey Level 1, 2, or 3 USA Hockey certification, and $25 for those who do not need their certification but are interested in attending.

All symposium attendees will receive a pair of tickets to the CCM/USA Hockey All-American Prospects game at Wells Fargo Center the following day, Thursday, September 22. The event will feature 42 of the top American-born prospects eligible for the 2017 National Hockey League (NHL) Entry Draft. Tickets are available at WellsFargoCenterPhilly.com.
