The Philadelphia Flyers, in conjunction with broadcast partners Comcast SportsNet and Greater Media Philadelphia, today announced their local broadcast schedule for the 2015-16 season.
The Flyers will have 71 of their games televised locally in the Philadelphia market this season. Of those games, 60 will air on Comcast SportsNet, with 11 airing on The Comcast Network. The remaining 11 games will be exclusive national telecasts, nine of which will appear on the NBC Sports Network and two of which will be on NBC.
In addition, three preseason games – 9/22 vs. NY Rangers, 9/25 vs. NY Islanders and 9/30 vs. New Jersey – will be televised on The Comcast Network.
CSN’s Emmy-Award winning broadcast team of play-by-play voice Jim Jackson, color commentators Keith Jones and Bill Clement, and rinkside analyst Chris Therien all return this season, along with veteran producer Bryan Cooper and director Mike Mulligan.
On the radio side, the Flyers enter their fourth season with Greater Media Philadelphia bringing all preseason, regular season and playoff games to the airwaves. 97.5 The Fanatic will again serve as the Flyers’ radio flagship, and will carry five preseason games and 58 regular season games. For the Oct. 2 preseason game and 24 regular-season occasions where the Flyers play on the same night as the Philadelphia 76ers, Flyers games will be heard on 93.3 WMMR.
The split-squad game in Brooklyn vs. the NY Islanders on September 21 will be carried on 97.5 The Fanatic; broadcast plans for the other half of the evening from Allentown are still to be determined.
The Flyers have added to their radio network this season with the inclusion of Townsquare Media’s 97.3 ESPN in Atlantic City, NJ. Veteran broadcasters Tim Saunders and Steve Coates return to handle all Flyers radio broadcasts again this season.
