The Philadelphia Flyers announced that they will open their 2005 preseason schedule against the Atlanta Thrashers at the John Labatt Centre in London, Ontario on Saturday, September 17 and will close out the preseason with a game against the Washington Capitals at the MCI Center on Saturday, October 1. The Flyers will play a total of seven preseason games, including three at the Wachovia Center, with the home portion of the schedule beginning on Saturday, September 24 against Washington at 7:00 p.m.
The Flyers will face off against the Capitals, Islanders and New Jersey Devils each twice in the preseason in addition to their one game against Atlanta.
