The Flyers come into today’s game looking for their fourth straight win, which would tie a season high streak for the third time (Nov. 27-Dec. 4) (Jan. 5-13)… Today is the first of games on back-to-back days for the Flyers, who own a 3-3-1 record in the first game and 3-4-0 record in the second… The Flyers own a 3-1-1 record and the Rangers have a 2-3-2 mark in daytime starts… The Flyers have allowed just six goals in their five daytime starts, outscoring their opponent, 13-6… Three of the five games in the season series are daytime starts… The Rangers have won four of their last six games and have earned at least one point in 10 of their last 16 games (9-6-1) and eight of their last 12 games (7-4-1)… The Rangers have posted a plus-28 goal differential at 5-on-5 this season (107 GF, 79 GA) and rank second in the NHL in goal differential at 5-on-5 in 2015-16.

The Flyers have four players on multiple point streaks of five games or more entering today… Jakub Voracek has a five-game streak, averaging two points per-game with 10 points (3g-7a)… Brayden Schenn has a five-game streak with seven points (4g-3a)… Wayne Simmonds has a five-game streak with six goals and nine points… Shayne Gostisbehere has a six-game point streak in which he has posted seven assists and eight points - he leads the Flyers defense and all rookie d-men in goals (8), assists (16) and points (24)… The Flyers have recorded a goal on the power play in six consecutive games, going 9-for-24… For the Rangers, a pair of players have three-game streaks on the line today: JT Miller has four goals and five points in three games, while Derick Brassard has an impressive eight points (3g-5a) in three games.

Miller has been the hottest Ranger coming into today’s game… He has a three-game goal-scoring streak with four goals, while also posting five points and a +7 rating in that span… He has also recorded a goal in six of the last eight games with eight goals… He is third on the team in overall goals (16) and fourth with 29 points… The Rangers first round pick in 2011 at 15th overall, Miller has new career-highs in goals (16), points (29), and game-winning goals (4) through 51 games this season… In the this year’s series against the Flyers, he has two goals in three meetings, and four goals and five points in 10 career games against the Flyers.
