The Flyers will play three of their next four games on home ice where they own a 5-5-4 record with nine of the 14 games being decided by one goal, including seven that have gone past regulation play… Brayden Schenn has a four-game point streak on home ice, recording a goal and three assists… Schenn has four of his six goals and nine of his 14 points playing at the Wells Fargo Center this year - he also leads the Flyers in plus-minus at home at +3… The Flyers come into tonight’s game with a 5-2-1 record in their last eight… The Hurricanes come in playing the last of a four-game road trip and are just as hot with wins in two straight games and four of their last five contests…  Four of the five games have been decided by one goal… The Hurricanes have also recorded five goals in four consecutive games, marking the first time since the team moved to Carolina they have scored five or more in four straight.

This is the third of four meetings against the Hurricanes this season, and final game in Philadelphia, with the Flyers winning the previous two meetings both by a score of 3-2… Three of the last four meetings against the Hurricanes have resulted in a 3-2 decision, all three of which came past regulation play… The Flyers have scored 50 percent of their goals against the Hurricanes on special teams (2ppg-1shg)… Victor Rask leads the Hurricanes with two goals in the season series, while Claude Giroux and Jakub Voracek lead the Flyers with four points (1g-3a) against Carolina this year… The Flyers have earned at least one point in 32 of the last 41 meetings between the clubs, going 26–8-7 since the 2005 season… The Flyers will be looking to win the season series tonight for the first time since the 2012-13 season.

Skinner has been on fire for the Hurricanes lately - he comes in with a three-game point streak (4g-1a) and has posted six goals and seven points in his last five games, including two game-winning goals and a hat trick… He has also recorded points in four of his last five games… Skinner ranks second on the team with 11 goals, and leads the Hurricanes with eight 5-on-5 even strength goals… Against the Flyers, Skinner has seven goals and 13 points in 19 career games, but is pointless in the season series this year.
