This is the seventh straight season the Flyers have hosted a 'Black Friday' game - they own a 2-1-3 mark in that span, but have dropped four of the last five meetings on Black Friday… The Flyers have had a game the day after Thanksgiving each season since 1997, hosting 12 of the games, while being on the road twice - they own a 7-3-3 record (along with one tie) in those 14 contests… This marks the third straight Black Friday game that the Flyers will play a Canadian team.

This is the second and final meeting between the Jets and Flyers… The Jets took a 3-2 shootout win in the first meeting on Nov. 15… Of the eight previous meetings with Winnipeg, five have been decided by one goal… The Flyers own an overall record of 3-3-2 in the previous eight meetings with the Jets and have combined for a total of 60 goals (WPG: 31, PHI 29) for an average of 7.5 goals-per-game… The Flyers come into today having lost two straight games, while the Jets come into Philly riding a two-game winning streak. 

The Jets have had five of their last nine games decided by a shootout, including one with the Flyers… The two teams come into today with identical 7-4-2 records in the month of November… The Flyers have now gone eight consecutive games scoring on the power play, going 9-for-28 (32.1 percent) in that span… Following today's game the Flyers will embark on a six-game, 13-day road trip… Over the course of the next 40 days, the Flyers will spend 28 days away from Philadelphia - a total of 14 of their next 18 games.

4. Player to watch FLYERS: Claude Giroux - (C) #28
With an assist last game, Giroux is riding a six-game point streak where he has recorded two goals and five assists for seven points - it is his longest points streak since he went six straight last season (Feb. 18-27), which is one shy of his career-mark of seven straight (Jan. 14-25, 2011)… Giroux leads the team in assists (14) and points (17)… Against the Jets, Giroux has 17 points (6g-11a) in 18 career games (includes Atlanta franchise).

5. Player to watch JETS: Dustin Byfuglien - (D)  #33
The 6-5, 265-pound defenseman posted both goals for the Jets in the first meeting of the year between the two clubs… He has also recorded at least a point in five of his last six games, which began with the Flyers game on Nov. 15… During that stretch he has five goals and nine points, including four multi-point games… He leads the team in assists (15) and ranks second overall on the club with 21 points, while being the average time-on-ice leader by over two minutes with 26:38 per-game, which is also tied for fourth in the NHL… Against the Flyers, Byfuglien has 11 points (4g-7a) in 14 games.
