The Flyers are looking to make it eight straight games earning a point in the standings, after going 6-0-1 in their last seven, including winning their last three games… During the club's seven-game point streak, the Flyers have scored an average of 3.86 goals-per-game, including four or more in each of their last three… The Flyers have out-scored the opposition 27-10 while the combination of Ray Emery & Steve Mason have stopped 211 of 221 shots they have faced (.954 save percentage)… During the seven-game point streak, Claude Giroux (3g-5a) and Jakub Voracek (2g-6a) lead the team with eight points, while Matt Read leads with five goals… The Flyers are tied with the Boston Bruins for the second hottest team in the Eastern Conference over the last 10 games, going 7-1-2.

The Flyers begin a stretch in which eight of their next nine games are on the road and 16 of their next 21 games through the Holidays away from Philadelphia… The Panthers begin a five-game homestand beginning with the Flyers tonight - they have recorded at least a point in the standings in four of their last six games, going 3-2-1 in that span… The Flyers have scored a goal on the power-play in each of their last six games, going 7-for-22 (31.8%)… Flyers' Senior VP Bob Clarke was the first ever Panthers General Manager for their inaugural season in 1993… The Panthers are one of three teams to have a coaching change so far this season as Peter Horachek was named Florida's interim head coach on Nov. 8, replacing Kevin Dineen.

4. Player to watch FLYERS: Matt Read - (RW) #24
It's hard to ignore Read as the player to watch after he has recorded four goals in the last two games with back-to-back two-goal games… Read also has points in three-straight games and five of his last seven contests (5g-1a)… Against the Panthers, Read can put the puck in the net - he has six points, all of them goals, in seven career games against the Panthers… Read's first and only hat trick in the NHL came against Florida (Jan. 26, 2013).

5. Player to watch PANTHERS: Nick Bjugstad - (C)  #27
Bjugstad has been the hottest Panther as of late, recording at least a point in seven of his last nine games with a goal and six assists for seven points… He is tied for third on the team with seven assists in just 18 games so far this season… The Sophomore forward has appeared in just 29 games in the NHL, recording nine of his 10 career points this season… He was the Panthers first round pick (19th overall) in the 2010 Draft and is playing his first game against the Flyers.
