First Time Flyers Celebrate End of Rookie Season

Flyers rookie sensations R.J. Umberger and Freddy Meyer, along with over 400 "rookie" Season Ticket Holders (first year plan holders) recently celebrated their 2005-06 rookie season with the Flyers. Umberger, Mayer and the fans enjoyed a night of food and fun at the Wachovia Center's Cingular Pavilion, with activities such as a live band, dunk tank, carnival games, face painters, balloon artists, inflatables and much more.

Flyers Hall of Famer Bernie Parent, Flyers TV Color Analyst Steve Coates and Play-by-Play Announcer Jim Jackson, Philadelphia Phantoms mascot Phlex and members of the Delta Dental Ice Team were also be on hand to mingle with the crowd, raffle off prizes and sign autographs.

The Flyers also welcomed new rookies (2006-07 Season Ticket Holder depositors) at the event.

With the addition of countless new Season Ticket Holders during the 2005-06 season, the Flyers were able to set an all-time attendance record of 805,783 fans at the conclusion of the regular season.
