The 28-year-old Weise has appeared in all four games so far this season for the Flyers, going scoreless, and logging an average of 14:24 ice time, including an average of 2:33 coming on the team's power play.
Weise signed a multi-year contract with the Flyers on the first day of Free Agency this past summer on July 1 after splitting the 2015-16 season between the Montreal Canadiens and Chicago Blackhawks.
He posted 27 points (14g-13a) in 71 total games and played a majority of his season with the Canadiens where he recorded all 14 of his goals and 26 of his 27 points in 56 regular season games with Montreal. He was traded to the Blackhawks around the Trade Deadline on Feb. 26.
Weise will be the third player to miss games this season due to suspension with forward Brayden Schenn missing the first three games of the season and defenseman Radko Gudas currently set to serve the fifth of a six-game suspension handed out at the end of the preseason.
