On Friday, September 14 through Sunday, September 16, all Philadelphia Flyers training camp attendees are all required to go through the team’s media shoot.
Every player is required to visit several stations so that the club can use this footage throughout the year. Players have their headshots taken for use in the all publications; go through a television shoot for Comcast SportsNet to film the “gladiator shots” that are used in all broadcasts; and sit down for interviews with the team’s game presentation department for in-arena usage, among other things.
Finally, on Sunday, many of the players took part in a live taping for “Meet the Flyers,” an hour-long special that is currently running on Comcast SportsNet.
Normally, this shoot is closed to the public and the outside media, but philadelphiaflyers.com somehow managed to sneak a digital camera into the roller rink at the Virtua Center Flyers Skate Zone
