Annual Gene Hart Golf Tournament a Success

Philadelphia sports legends, media members and local celebrities hit the links on a beautiful Monday afternoon for the seventh annual Gene Hart Memorial Golf Outing. All proceeds from the tournament benefit the Temple University Health System's radiation and medical oncology programs.

Celebrity participants included Flyers right wing Niko Dimitrakos; former Flyers Gary Dornhoeffer, Bob Kelly, Bernie Parent, Marcel Pelletier, Brian Propp, Don Saleski and Joe Watson; Flyers broadcasters Steve Coates, Jim Jackson and Tim Saunders; former Phillies pitcher Mitch Williams; ESPN broadcaster Steve Buccigross; 76ers Broadcaster Tom McGinnis; Comcast SportsNet's Al Morganti, Keith Jones and Michael Barkann; FOX's Bill Vargus and Jennaphr Frederick; CBS' Ukee Washington and Tom Lamaine; CN8's Arthur Fennell, Kevin Walsh and Gregg Murphy; 610 WIP's Paul Jolovitz; KYW Newsradio's Harry Donahue; the Daily News' Mike Kern and others.

Gene Hart was the beloved "Voice" of the Flyers from 1967 through 1999. He was inducted into the Flyers Hall of Fame in 1992 and into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1997.
