The official game puck which will be used in the Philadelphia Flyers' regular season opener against the New York Rangers on Wednesday, October 5, is literally being passed around town.

In preparation for the upcoming hockey season, the official game puck will make 50 stops in the 50 days leading up to the first game of the season. The historic journey will be documented by clicking on the slide show below.

The Flyers will open the 2005-06 against the New York Rangers at the Wachovia Center on Wednesday, October 5.
