This one's obvious but with the Flyers owning the highest draft pick in eight years (2nd overall in 2007) the team will be adding a highly skilled and talented player to their prospect pool. Throw in the fact that this year's draft has been called the deepest in years, Flyers fans will no doubt see whoever the Flyers select 7th overall at Development Camp and possibly even training camp come September.
And don't give all your attention to No. 7 overall... The Flyers also own another first round draft pick, which originally belonged to the Tampa Bay Lightning but was acquired in the Braydon Coburn trade at the deadline. The exact placement of the pick has yet to be determined, but with Tampa reaching the Conference finals, it will be either 27, 28, 29 or 30th.
Overall, the Flyers have the most draft picks piled up, 10 in total, since 2006. The two-day event will take place in south Florida with the first round being televised live on Friday night.
