1. YOU AND I COLLIDE
This is the final game for each team before heading into the All-Star break… Both teams come into tonight's game playing the second of a back-to-back series, both playing the first game on the road and both teams shut out their opponent in the those games - The Flyers won 2-0 at Rangers and Toronto won 4-0 at Detroit… Both teams are also looking to extend two-game winning streaks entering tonight.
2. PLAY IT AGAIN
This is the Maple Leafs' 11th set of back to back series - they are 7-2-1 in the first game, but are 3-6-1 in the second game… With last night's win, the Flyers own a 7-5-0 record in the first game and 7-3-2 mark in the second… This is the third time this season out of 13 sets of back-to-backs that the Flyers are playing the second game on home ice… The Flyers are 2-0-0 in the previous two games… Toronto also comes into tonight unbeaten in regulation in their last 11 road games, going 9-0-2, while the Flyers return home 9-2-1 in their last 12 games at the Wells Fargo Center.

FLYERS (RW: #17 - Wayne Simmonds)
Simmonds plays his final game before heading out to LA for the 2017 NHL All-Star Game… He leads the team in goals (20) and ranks third in overall scoring with 37 points… He has now reached the 20-goal mark for the fourth consecutive year and fifth out of six seasons as a Flyer with the only exception being the 2012-13 lockout shortened season, where he posted 15 goals in 45 games.
MAPLE LEAFS (C: #16 - Mitch Marner)
The 19-year-old rookie is tied for both the Maple Leafs lead AND all NHL rookies in scoring with 39 points (11g-28a) in 46 games… Marner went scoreless in last night's game for Toronto, but since the New Year began he has not had two straight games without a point and has posted 13 points (3g-10a) in 11 games… In his first and only game against the Flyers, Marner had a goal and an assist.
TODAY AT 50
On January 26, 1995… Swedish Olympic standout Patrik Juhlin scores his first NHL goal, while Mark Recchi and Garry Galley each tally their first goals of the season. The Flyers, struggling out of the gates in the lockout-shortened season, earn a 3-2 home win over the Hartford Whalers. Rod Brind'Amour assists on the Recchi and Galley goals. Dominic Roussel stops 24 of 26 shots to earn the win.
