3. ITS NOT ALWAYS SUNNY

The Flyers play a back-to-back set in the state of Florida… Its their sixth set of back-to-back games owning a 2-3-0 record in the first and a significantly better mark of 4-0-1 in the second… The Flyers have dropped three straight at Florida and four of their last five visits to Sunrise… At Tampa, they have dropped eight of their last nine visits, however their last meeting at Tampa was a 3-1 win to break an eight-game losing skid.

The 19-year-old rookie has three of his four goals, and seven of his 11 points, playing on the road… Konecny also ranks second on the Flyers in even straight points (9), while leading the team in assists at even strength (7)… Recently, he has three of his four goals in the last eight games.

PANTHERS (D: #5 - Aaron Ekblad)

After a tough start to the year, Ekblad has found his scoring touch, posting three goals in his last four games… The 20-year-old d-man leads the Panthers in ice-time, averaging over 23 minutes (23:04), which is over a full minute from his first two seasons average in the NHL… Ekblad was the No. 1 overall pick in the 2014 NHL Draft held in Philadelphia and scored his first NHL goal against the Flyers.

On November 22, 1998… Against the Florida Panthers, the new version of the Legion of Doom line, now featuring agitating winger Keith Jones as the third member with Lindros & LeClair account for both Philadelphia goals in a 2-1 road win over the Florida Panthers… Eric Lindros sets up Jones, who scored the game-winner just 26 seconds into overtime. Former Panthers goalie John Vanbiesbrouck earns the win with 25 saves in a game in which the Flyers are limited to 16 shots.
