3. US vs. THEM

Wayne Simmonds has a four-game goal-scoring streak and five-game point streak against the Maple Leafs with five goals in the last four games and seven points in his last five… Shayne Gostisbehere averages a point per-game and has recorded a point in five of his six career games against Toronto… Leafs goaltender Frederik Andersen owns a perfect 6-0-0 record against the Flyers, but a goals-against average of 2.60 and .923 save percentage… Leafs forward William Nylander averages over a point per-game with three goals and five points in four meetings.

4. SPECIAL CIRCUMSTANCES

Toronto has been perfect on the penalty kill in their last five games, killing off their last 11 penalties… The Leafs have also registered a power-play goal in seven of their 10 games, including three of their last four to have an overall success rate of 28.2 percent (3rd in NHL)… The Flyers are 11th in the NHL at 19.5 percent, but are looking to snap a two-game skid on the power play… They have four of their five wins this season when scoring on the man advantage.

5. PLAYERS TO WATCH:

FLYERS (C: #28 - Claude Giroux)

The Flyers captain was held off the scoresheet in Tuesday's loss at Ottawa, but has yet to go two straight this season without recording a point… He has 11 points (5g-6a) in 10 games, while eight of his 11 points have come at even strength… Giroux averages over a point per-game pace at the Air Canada Centre with 15 points (6g-9a) in 14 games and has eight points (3g-5a) in his last four games at the ACC.

MAPLE LEAFS (C: #34 - Auston Matthews)

The 2016 No. 1 overall pick is not suffering from a sophomore slump - In fact, he's off to a better pace through his first 10 games than he was in his Calder Trophy winning season… He has produced at least a point in eight of his first 10 games, including five multi-point games, and eight goals and 14 points to rank fourth in the league… He didn't reach the eight goal and 14 point mark until Nov. 23 last season… Through three games in the season series, the Flyers managed to keep him to one assist last season.
