1. BEST OF THE WEST

2. BACK TO BACK

The Flyers play the second of games on back-to-back nights, as well as their sixth game in a 10 day span with four of the six coming on the road… This is the second of 15 sets of back-to-backs the Flyers will play and first since their season opening road trip, which they split by winning the first and dropping the second… The Flyers are coming off a shut out loss at Chicago - in their previous two shutouts this season, the Flyers have come back to win the next game.

3. THE YOUNG DEFENSE

After leaving last night's game with an upper-body injury, Radko Gudas could be out of the Flyers lineup… That would give the Flyers four defensemen who have less than 15 games of NHL experience (Alt, Hagg, Sanheim & O'Neill) with the two veterans being Ivan Provorov (95 games) and Brandon Manning (150 games)… Should he be in the lineup, Will O'Neill will make his NHL debut at age 29… Should Gudas be in the lineup, the Flyers six defensemen who have played a total of 554 NHL games… Blues captain, 27-year-old Alex Pietrangelo who was drafted in 2008, has played a total of 552 NHL games.

4. DON'T I KNOW YOU?

This is the first time that Brayden Schenn will face the Flyers since being traded during the 1st round of the NHL Draft this summer - Schenn spent six years with the Flyers, accumulating 109 goals and 137 assists for 246 points in that span… This is also the first time that Jori Lehtera will face his first and only other NHL club he's played with in the Blues since being acquired in that deal for Schenn… Lehtera appeared in 218 games over three seasons with the Blues and recorded 100 points (30g-70a)… Blues forward Scottie Upshall also spent three seasons with the Flyers, while goaltender Brian Elliott was an All-Star and William Jennings Award winner in his five seasons with the Blues… Blues assistant coach Craig Berube will face the Flyers for the first time since he was relieved as head coach of the club at the end of the 2014-15 season.

5. PLAYERS TO WATCH:

FLYERS (C: #51 - Valtteri Filppula)

After several significant scoring chances in last night's game at Chicago, Filppula is tonight's player to watch… He has five goals and eight points on the season and has recently been paired with Travis Konecny and Wayne Simmonds on his wings… He'll also be playing his 50th career game against the Blues and has had the most success against St. Louis than any other Flyers, as well as any other team that he has faced, with 13 goals and 26 points in his 49 games.

BLUES (LW: #17 - Jaden Schwartz)

The NHL's third star of the month of October ranks third in the NHL with 17 points (8g-9a) in 13 games… It's the hottest start to his NHL career - a span of six previous seasons… Schwartz also leads all players in the NHL in even strength points (15), while seven of his eight goals have also come at even strength… Schwartz has also recorded at least a point in seven of his last eight games and has failed to record a point in just two of 13 games this season.
