1. GETTING BUSY

The Flyers enter a particularly busy schedule of the calendar… Tonight kicks off the first of a back-to-back set as well as the first of a five-games in eight day span which will end with another set of back-to-backs on Nov. 27-28… This is the third back-to-back set and the first time they will play one of the games on home ice… The Canucks kick off a 12-day, six-game road trip tonight and are also in the midst of playing 10 of 12 games on the road… Vancouver is coming off of two straight losses in their brief two-game homestand, dropping a 4-3 overtime decision to the Blues, in their last game… The Canucks have also dropped four of their last five games.

2. THAT WAS LAST YEAR

The Flyers and Canucks meet for the first time this season and will wrap up their two-game series in 17 days when the Flyers travel to Vancouver on Dec. 7… The Flyers were perfect in their season series last year, winning both contests by one goal and scoring four of their six total goals on the power play, while Michal Neuvirth posted both wins… They currently have a three-game winning streak over the Canucks, including two straight on home ice.

3. TO SHOOT OR NOT TO SHOOT

The Flyers are in the NHL's Top 10 (ranked 10th) in shots, averaging 32.6 per-game, while the Canucks have averaged 28.9 shots per-game, which ranks 30th out 31 in the NHL… The Flyers have strung together six straight games in which they have fired 30+ shots on goal, as well as 11 of their last 12 contests… Vancouver has not reached 30 shots on goal in seven of their last eight games, including five games in which they failed to hit 25 shots on goal.

4. CONNECT THREE

Tonight marks a return for two former Flyers in Michael Del Zotto, who spent three seasons in Philadelphia (2014-17) and Sam Gagner, who spent one season in Philadelphia (2015-16)… Del Zotto leads the Canucks in blocked shots (35), ice time with 23:21 per-game and ranks tied for first in hits (39)… Gagner has six points (2g-4a) appearing in all 20 games… For the Flyers, Dale Weise spent parts of three seasons with the Canucks (2011-14), recording 26 points (10g-16a) in 152 games.

5. PLAYERS TO WATCH:

FLYERS (RW: #93 - Jakub Voracek)

Voracek gets the nod for the second straight game, and for two straight games he has put multiple points on the board with four points (1g-3a) in that stretch… Voracek is tied for third among all NHL players for the most multi-point games at 10 (with Johnny Gaudreau)… Voracek leads the Flyers and continues to rank third in the NHL with 20 assists.

CANUCKS (RW: #6 - Brock Boeser)

The 20-year-old rookie taken 23rd overall in the 2015 NHL Draft has goals in two straight games and is on a three-game point streak… After not being in the lineup for the first two games of the season, Boeser now leads the Canucks with 17 points in 17 games, recording seven goals and 10 assists… His seven goals are tied for second among all rookies and 17 points are ranked third.
