Been here for a about a week in Philly and I've been feeling really good at camp. I've been back home in London, Ontario, working with my trainer and we're back in the gym finally after COVID break last year and we've been on the ice about three times a week. I got a lot bigger and a lot stronger again this summer and am eager to keep improving.

Camp this year has been awesome. It's been a busy few days. It's exciting to be back here again and meet a lot of new players. A lot of new young guys that are coming in and seeing old faces and the development stuff again. I say this every year, but I learned a lot of new things.

One difference about this cam is that it's been a little bit shorter and a little bit tighter, but we still get that same development. We still get to learn a lot of new things. Like the coaches say every year (and it's really true) "you get to learn something new every year." That's always exciting for us.

Off the ice, we've been golfing around town. It's been pretty hot outside so far, so I don't know how many times we're going to get out there before the season starts. When we do get time away from the rink, we do everything together. Still playing cards, playing video games or whatever it may be. We're just trying to make the most out of the time and the experiences.

I'm rooming with Morgan Frost during this camp. (If there is one word to describe Morgan as a roommate it would be "messy.") I've been with him a lot and Wade Allison, Tanner Laczynski, Matt Strome, and Jackson Cates is always there too. There's always a good crew of us, ready to hang out or play some cards.

Overall, this camp experience has been great. I'm getting comfortable back on the ice here and I'm fully ready to go this season.
