The National Hockey League announced this afternoon that the Flyers’ game against the New York Islanders that was originally scheduled for January 23 has been rescheduled for Sunday, April 10 at 7:00 PM at Barclays Center in Brooklyn.
The game was postponed from its original date due to the winter storm that hit the East Coast on January 22-23.
The new date will extend the NHL’s and the Flyers’ regular season by one day. The Flyers were originally scheduled to conclude their season at home vs. Pittsburgh on April 9. The rescheduled game will give the Flyers four games over the final five nights of the season, all against Eastern Conference opponents.
In addition to the Flyers and Islanders, the extra day to the season will also include Anaheim visiting Washington in another rescheduled game from the same storm.
Broadcast information for the new date will be announced in the near future.
