The Flames have announced that forward prospect Dmitry Zavgorodniy has been assigned to SKA St. Petersburg in the KHL.
Drafted in the seventh round in the 2018 NHL Draft, Zavgorodniy spent the majority of his junior career with Rimouski Océanic in the QMJHL. In 169 regular season games with Rimouski, the Russian winger scored 83 goals and 178 points and averaged 1.05 points-per-game.
