The Flames have two players participating in the 2017 IIHF World Championship with Johnny Gaudreau representing the USA and Chad Johnson playing for Canada. The Canadians picked up their fifth win at the tournament on Monday and lead Group B with 15 points.

Johnson made 10 saves and backstopped Canada to a 5-0 victory over Norway on Monday. The 30-year-old now has a 3-0 record, a 1.33 GAA and a .917 save percentage at the tournament.
Brayden Schenn, Colton Parayko (2), Mark Scheifele, and Ryan O'Reilly scored in the win. The Canadians fired 48 shots at Norwegian goaltender Henrik Haukeland, who made 43 saves.
Canada's final preliminary round game comes on Tuesday against Finland.
