The Calgary Flames Foundation announced today that on Wednesday, May 5, 2021 the Calgary Flames Foundation will say thank you to its supporters by hosting a unique one-time 50/50 raffle in which the lucky winner will be able to direct 25% of the total jackpot, over and above their winnings, to the charity of their choice. The proceeds from the Calgary Flames Foundation RE/MAX 50/50 draw on May 5, 2021 will be directed as follows:

  • 50% - Awarded to the winner
  • 25% - Directed to an eligible charity chosen by the winner through the Calgary Flames Foundation
  • 25% - Directed to the Calgary Flames Foundation

In order to ensure compliance with Calgary Flames Foundation guidelines, the charity selected must be a CRA registered charity that is AGLC approved, operating in southern Alberta. The donation is made directly from the Calgary Flames Foundation to the eligible charity selected by the winner. This is a one-time event occurring on May 5, 2021.

"This season Calgary Flames fans and raffle participants helped ensure the Calgary Flames Foundation could honour our commitments and support valuable community programs," said Candice Goudie, Executive Director of the Calgary Flames Foundation.

"With our fans support, we have been able to continue donations to charities through our COVID-19 Community Support Program. We have been able to carry on the creation of programs and partnerships that resulted in books for schools, technology for students at home, new rinks and playgrounds and sports equipment sent to homes of low income families."

"Albertans continue to be incredibly dedicated to philanthropy. This special 50/50 allows us to say thank you to our supporters in a meaningful way."
