WHL Playoff Roundup: Laurent Brossoit

by Torie Peterson / Calgary Flames

Edmonton swept Brandon in the second round of the WHL playoffs

Netminder Laurent Brossoit has been a pillar of strength for Oil Kings throughout the playoffs and has yet to record a loss in the postseason. His winning streak isn't limited to the playoffs though - he has won his last 17 starts and shows no signs of slowing down.

He shut the door on the Wheat Kings in the second round, allowing just five goals in four games and posting a shutout in Game 4, making 24 saves. His save percentage now sits at .941 while his GAA is 1.50 through eight games - tops in the WHL. Brossoit was named the Vaughn CHL Goalie of the Week on Apr. 16th after posting a .980 save percentage and .500 GAA last week.

The WHL Eastern Conference Finals start on Apr. 20th in Edmonton.
