Versteeg, who spent four days skating in Stockton with the Heat last week before rejoining his teammates on the ice for practice Monday, has been eager to return and help the club make their post-season push.
"I just want to be able to help the team," he told Your Flames Authority George Johnson earlier in the week. "I just want to get in the playoffs."
The Lethbridge product had three goals and eight points in 22 games before being injured.
