Time to regroup

by Jeff Clemens / Calgary Flames

Despite an early end this year the Flames players are looking towards next season.

Looking into the offseason as a chance to train and work towards the goal of winning the cup, while they are ready to play these games they want to build their games up to come back even stronger next year.

“Get ready to play these two games and worry about your summer after that,” said forward Mike Cammalleri.

“I’m excited to set up my summer training program and work on my game the way I want to get prepared for next year. I’m resetting my mind to start my preparation for next season.”

Cammalleri came back into the season part way through and he feels like starting the season with the team next year will help to give him more of the cohesive feeling with the team.

“There’s an adjustment period there for sure” said Cammalleri about starting mid season with the team and feeling like a full member of the team.

“I look forward to starting the season with this group for sure.”

In a season full of injuries this offseason is definitely a time for the players to regroup and reboot to come back as an even stronger unit.

“I’m happy to be a part of it right now,” said Cammalleri when asked about his feelings of being with the Flames.

“I feel confident with the group of guys that are here but also right to the top to our ownership group. These are guys that want to win and be competitive.”

With only two games left in the Flames are looking to win out the season and come back strong.
